Anti-Whiplash

The new Mazda6 was the first of the family to be designed with active anti-whiplash front seat headrests for added protection against injury during an accident. In the event of a rear impact, the active headrests use the force with which the occupant is pushed into the seat to instantly move the headrest forward. By quickly and firmly supporting the occupant’s head, the active headrest greatly reduced the load and strain on the neck.

MAIDAS
